Mechanism of Action:
* Yohimbine:
Yohimbine is a selective competitive antagonist at the alpha adrenergic receptor and is used in the treatment of erectile dysfunction. Yohimbine has effect on increasing blood flow to the penis and the level of the neurotransmitter norepinephrine by up to 68%. Therefore Yohimbine increases sexual desire, penile erection, sperm volume, and enhance male orgasm. Yohimbine also increases the formation of nitrous acid which is natural substance important for circulation of blood and sexual performance.
In addition, Yohimbine also works to reduce the fat synthesis in the body by increasing fat burning compounds (to reduce weight).
* Tribulus Terrestris:
Tribulus terrestris is a familiar remedy of oriental medicine used to treat many diseases. Recently, the study of modern medicine discovered that this remedy helps to cure erectile dysfunction and has many other effects.
In India, the fruits of Tribulus terrestris are used to stimulate appetite, fight inflammation, increase urination, regulate menstrual flow, fortify the kidneys, strengthen the virility, treat kidney stones.
